When one topic will not budge
Most topics move with practice. Some do not: you do the questions, read the solutions, and the next set goes just as badly. That is almost always one misunderstanding, usually from years ago, and it almost always takes one lesson to find and fix.
How a lesson works
- Online, on a shared whiteboard, one to one. An hour at a time.
- Bring the topic and the questions that went wrong. We start from those, not from the beginning of the syllabus.
- You leave with the misunderstanding named, the method written out in your own hand, and a set of questions to prove it has gone.
- If it needs a second hour I will say so. If it does not, I will say that too.
